Online shopping? Use cashback sites such as Topcashback & Quidco
If you’re doing a spot of online shopping or just doing the grocery shop online go through a cashback site and get some money back on your purchase. When I first heard of these sites I was thinking ‘what’s the catch?’ but there isn’t one, it's free to join then you simply search for your retailer and access their website through the cashback site then earn a percentage of what you pay back.
Even better these sites often have new member deals on where you can even end up in profit after the cashback! My personal favourites are TopCashback and Quidco. I personally prefer TopCashback which you can sign up to here or read the full review for here, however you can try them both and see which you prefer or use them both.
This weeks new member deals are (W/C 06/02):
Free item at Everything 5 pounds - I love this site and you can some of my outfits from there here!
Free Thorntons Continental Chocolates after Cashback
£10 Cashback at Next Flowers
This week's new member deals (W/C 14/02)
Free MAC lipstick after Cashback (valid to 05/03)
£10 Cashback at Kiddicare (valid to (19/02)
2. Another tip for online shops – DO NOT buy anything without searching for a discount code!
This is a biggie that I never used to do but has saved me £££’s! Before you purchase anything online make sure you quickly pop the company followed by vouchers or discount codes in a search engine, you’d be surprised what you can find! My personal favourites are Vouchercloud and Hot UK Deals.
3. Buy Christmas presents now!
Okay some people aren’t that easy to buy for but if you have any family members like me that you know what they will want next year or just to get little stocking fillers, now is the time! Not only are the sales on, a lot of the sales are being upped to up to 75% off! Poundland & Poundworld have some lovely stocking fillers reduced to only 10p!
4. Use approved food sites
Approved food sites such as Approved Food and Clearance XL sell clearance food near to or just past their sell by dates but are still perfectly fine to eat. They are a great way of stocking up on some of your cupboard favourites at discounted prices.
5. And last but not least…. Think do I need it and can I afford it?
If the answer is no to either you, probably shouldn’t purchase it (though I am guilty of making an exception for that gorgeous lipstick or skirt every now and again…).
If you have any more tips, I'd love to hear them! Leave a comment below.
